What Kind of Stone?

We offer the three most popular options for decorative stone on the market; granite, quartz, and marble. These three options have several differences, and we can work with you to determine which will be the best option for your home. Both marble and granite are 100% natural stone, whereas quartz is a man-made material. Click on the links below to learn more about each option:

Stone options

Granite: The industry standard in durable natural stone, granite is one of the most popular and desired features of a home on the market. Granite stands up to wear and tear with only occasional re-sealings. It withstands the heat of a boiling stove’s bottom, and the edge of a sharp knife.

Marble: Marble lends the classic looks of Grecian art, unique veining, and a softness to the touch. However, marble also is a more porous stone, and needs more care and upkeep than the other two options. Marble is susceptible to acidic cleaners and can also be stained by foods unless it’s vigilantly cleaned.

Quartz: Quartz features all of the assets of granite, but in a manmade material. For some buyers, this means that it’s less appealing in terms of uniqueness and status. However, it also means that there are some advantages manufactured into quartz, including no need whatsoever for resealing and upkeep. Quartz is also manufactured with colorful designs not available naturally.

Where Are You Installing Stone?

Most people think that granite, marble, and quartz are just for countertops, but the truth is that stonework has many more applications. For example, you might want to look into a grand granite fireplace, which will look stately and hold up well to the effects of time. Some of our customers use their chosen stone slabs for flooring or decorative stonework. You might also consider stone countertops in places besides the kitchen, such as the laundry room, or bathroom.

We also offer buying options for sinks to pair with your countertops, including stainless steel, china, and other options. By pairing sink and countertop installations, you can be sure that you’ll have a seamless design that looks harmonious in the room of your choice.
