Granite

Granite is formed beneath the earth’s crust by magma flowing into deep pockets and cooling under tremendous pressure. It is highly crystallized and is comprised of Quartz, Feldspar and Mica. The result is an igneous rock with wide variations in color, texture and veining that contribute to its natural beauty. Granite generally is located in quarries from Brazil, China and India. Granite is very hard and is highly scratch resistant. We have many slabs in stock that are ready for installation and delivery.

Why choose Granite for your countertops?

A lot of people choose granite because of its durability. Your kitchen sees a lot of action, and you need countertops that will withstand anything you do to them. For example, you could decide to chop all the vegetables you need for dinner straight on your countertop, and you won’t have any scratches or marks to show for it. You won’t really notice any wear and tear on your granite countertops, unless you were to take a sledgehammer to them.

Granite is also heat resistant, which is ideal for cooking. You can pull a hot casserole out of the oven and put it straight onto your countertop.

Another great reason to choose granite is because it’s affordable. And with so many different slabs to choose from, with so many different colors, it can be possible to get a more expensive look, at the price point of granite. The way that granite is formed yields many different forms and colors of crystals binding together to create the most unique patterns you’ll find for countertops.

We want you to be happy with your countertops so we don’t limit you to just our selection. We work with the largest suppliers so you can get the right color for your needs.
